Job Description: Financial Operations Human Resources Intern

Position Summary:
The Financial Operations Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources team with various HR functions, focusing on tasks related to financial operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual looking for practical experience in HR within a financial context.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide immediate support for year-end activities, including preparing for employee performance evaluations, updating the company org chart, and assisting with budget planning.
  2. Assist in payroll processing and ensure accuracy of financial data related to employee compensation.
  3. Support the onboarding process by collecting and verifying new hire documents, facilitating orientation sessions, ensuring documentation is sent to Resourcing Edge, and enrolling contractors in Bill.com.
  4. Work with the finance department to reconcile employee payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Provide administrative support for HR projects, including data entry, organizing HR processes, filing, and maintaining employee records.
  6. Assist in recruiting efforts, including candidate sourcing and interview scheduling.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  2. Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources with a focus on Finance.
  3. Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  5. Proficiency in Google Suite, especially for forms and document management.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with both employees and external contacts.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
