Job Description: Financial Operations Human Resources Intern
Position Summary:
The Financial Operations Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources team with various HR functions, focusing on tasks related to financial operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual looking for practical experience in HR within a financial context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate support for year-end activities, including preparing for employee performance evaluations, updating the company org chart, and assisting with budget planning.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure accuracy of financial data related to employee compensation.
- Support the onboarding process by collecting and verifying new hire documents, facilitating orientation sessions, ensuring documentation is sent to Resourcing Edge, and enrolling contractors in Bill.com.
- Work with the finance department to reconcile employee payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects, including data entry, organizing HR processes, filing, and maintaining employee records.
- Assist in recruiting efforts, including candidate sourcing and interview scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources with a focus on Finance.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, especially for forms and document management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with both employees and external contacts.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
